I am hoping the airbag light will resolve itself as i resolve this, more pressing, matter, but if not I will fix that after.

Basically, my X3 is driving perfectly fine, but in full RWD only with no ABS. DTC's (from INPA) indicate "transfer case clutch position unknown." This is corresponding to the "trio" of drivetrain lights.

I now get the yellow ABS, red BRAKE, and yellow 4x4 lights on the instrument cluster, along with the airbag light.
#BMW SP DATEN V49 UPDATE#
I decided to update my transmission software via WinKFP, and received the message indicated programming was successful. I was able to ignore this issue until now. (Before anyone suggests/asks, it is not the cable.) I have tried v53, v49, and v46 sp-daten's, all producing the same result. I receive "EDIABAS error 100: SYS-0010: INITIALIZATION ERROR." The description/solution for this error is no help at all. Car Detailing and Show & Shine Prep sponsored by Autogeek.Has anyone with an N52 X3 gotten EDIABAS to communicate with their DME (MSV80.1)? Since I used INPA/NCS/NFS the first time, I have never been able to access this, but all the other modules communicate fine.Car Audio & Electronics sponsored by Bavsound.Tire & Wheel Forum sponsored by The Tire Rack.Suspension Tech and Handling sponsored by.

I can ADD but I cannot delete a code by selecting then pressing the delete key on my laptop’s keyboard.Ĭould this be due to profile selection or is this a different issue? Again, I’m using NCS Expert 4.0.1 and ‘V49 daten’. The only trouble I have now is that I cannot edit the VO in the ‘Enter FA’ window. With the relatively urgent matters taken care of, I can now proceed learning at a more reasonable pace. *Also thanks again DavidMC, FAL, IcemanBHE, shawnsheridan and many other folks. Your Expermodus (offen) profile allowed the read of the MAN file, which allowed me to finally update the batterie classe in CAS from 70Ah to 90Ah, then I was able to proceed with Tool32 to register the battery, finally after almost 2 months of struggling! My edited profile (Fisterprofile edited to settings of Revtor profile) loaded and allowed to read VO fine and all, but caused an error when I tried to read the MAN file. I had to use the Expertmodus (offen) profile you provided. Would updating to BMW Standard Tools 2.11, 2.12 help even without installing a bunch of newer daten files? Also, would such daten require the use of the ICOM interface etc.?

If I need daten files, what do I need to look up specifically (for example which ISTA/P install disk version and what files/folders etc.). I hope I can get detailed advice towards a solution. The 428 files are roughly 45% 2010, 45% 2006, 10% other year modified files. * In the DATEN folder's E89 folder there are 428 items, in the E90 folder there are no files. My car's software was updated in 2012 via ISTA/P V2.46. I've noticed the many comments online about having to update daten files, but not many detailed explanations of why this happens. I was hoping that if I could delete the "$8AF"(Korean Owner's Handbook, info which is not crucial) from the VO, it would be possible for NCS to perform the initial read. I can add values but I can't delete "$8AF" for example by selecting it and pressing the 'delete' key on the computer's keyboard. The odd thing is that clicking 'Enter FA' shows the VO editing pop-up window and I can see my VO in the vertical list. Without the recognition of the VO, NCS is not allowing to proceed with reading ECUs so I can’t proceed with coding. On the main screen the space to the right of ‘FA’ where the VO numbers should show is blank. “ Following feature is invalid for FA: $8AF ” In NCS Expert, after selecting my chassis E89(E90) my VIN is acknowledged, but upon clicking ‘ZCS/FA f.ECU’ and either CAS or FRM as the source, I get the following error:
